Back in 2012 we listed just a few restaurants that are outside big hotels. (See table below with original prices.) While there were some upscale and pricy restaurants in Yangon at that time for foreigners, most restaurants and eating places were for local customers serving good food with very reasonable price by international standards. You can get a plate of Chinese Fried Noodles or Indian style Chicken Biryani rice for 1,600 kyat at that time. Asia Pearl Travels at that time developed a Burmese Language Lesson on how to order food in Burmese. The prices have somewhat went up due to inflation over the years. They charge around between 2,000 Kyat to 2,500 Kyat in 2017 when the exchange rate is around 1,200 to 1,300 Kyat a dollar (USD).
With easing of U.S. economic sanctions, KFC entered Myanmar Market in early July 2015 a few months before the general elections. The first branch of KFC Myanmar in Downtown Yangon Bogyoke Aung San Road has now expanded to about 12 outlets in places where wealthy and middle-class hang out like Junction Square, Dagon center Shopping Mall, Hledan Center and Junction City.
KFC was followed by Pizaa Hut Myanmar at Dhammazedi Road. American Soft drink giants Coke and Pepsi now have manufacturing plants in Hmobe in the outskirt of Greater Yangon. If you just want to enjoy a good cup of coffee, Starbucks is here in Yangon, too.
Korean restaurants are now opened even in satellite towns close to Industry Zones like in Shwepyithar township to serve the growing numbers of Korean Managers as well as locals with the menu items only slightly above the average local eating places.
With a growing community of foreigners and entrepreneurs, you can now have a large variety of international food from Japanese Sushi in places like Sushi bar Myanmar, and dimsum at Singapore's Kitchen to Mango Milkshake at Sharky's.
If you want to try a local ethnic taste, perhaps you can go to Kachin Restaurant at Sha Yi, Shan Restaurant at Shan Yoe Yar or authentic Myanmar cooking at Moe-Linn-Moe-Choke.
All one has to do now is Internet Search on "Restaurants in Yangon" or your favorite food item in Yangon to give a list longer than we can review.

“We can arrange for transport to take you to the restaurant of your choice in Yangon.”`
Ordinary Myanmar people in Yangon like to hang around in neighborhood tea shops. An average tea shop has a satellite Television and a DVD player to entertain customers with.
You can get local Myanmar beer cheaply in many restaurants serving Chinese food. Menu items in Chinese restaurants here are quite similar to those around the world.
