ကောင်း | koun3; goun3; goun3

(1) koun3 - good; nice; fine; pleasant; sound (judgement, advice, asleep).

အကြံကောင်း၊ ဉာဏ်ကောင်းရှိရင် မျှဝေပေးပါ | a-kjan2-goun3 nyan2-goun3 shi1 yin2 hmya1 way2 pay3 ba2 - If you have any good idea, please share with us.

(2) koun3 - abundant as in မိုးကောင်း | mo3 koun3 - rain to fall continuously. [Note: descriptive word ကောင်း | koun3 - good (adjective) regarding မိုး | mo3 - rain (noun) is taken as a verb မိုးကောင်း | mo3 koun3.]

(3) koun3 - luxuriant as in ဆံပင်ကောင်း | za1-bin2 koun3 - have healthy hair.

(4) koun3 - fresh and clean (water or air).

လေကောင်းလေသန့် | lay2-goun3 lay2-thun1 - fresh air. The word as a whole is a compound noun, made up of the noun "air" plus adjectives "good " and "clean " in it.

(5) koun3 - appropriate; opportune (moment or timing) as in အချိန်ကောင်း | a-chain2-goun3.

(6) koun3 - ကြိယာနောက်ဆက်ပစ္စည်း | ka1-ri1-ya2 nout-hset pyit-si3 - particle suffixed to some ကြိယာ | ka1-ri1-ya2 - verbs to denote likelihood.
